What is s690ql1 steel plate ?

s690ql1-steel-plateMD Exports LLP Inc carries a stock of high yield cold forming steel plate with guaranteed mechanical properties, excellent cold formability, and a clean surface finish.The material is heat treated using the quench and temper process and has good bending and welding properties.

690QL1 is a high strength fine grained quenched and tempered structural steel. It has a minimum yield strength of 690 MPa. Known as Dillimax 690E  it is extra tough with minimum impact values down to -60 oC. S690QL1 has the steel number 1.8988 according to EN10025-6 and is available on an ex-stock basis in thicknesses from 6 mm to 250 mm. For new rolling from Dillinger Hutte thicknesses up to 200 mm are possible.

S690QL1 is used for cranes, flood gates, bridges and many other applications where high strength is required with reduced weight and easy machinability. Given their high load capacity and risk reducing features S690QL1 can also reduce material and fabrication costs by 40% as a 33 mm plate of S690 can compare to a 65 mm 355 plate
