Standard EN 10025-2: “Non-alloy structural steels” defines conventional structural steels in three yield strength classes 275/355/420 MPa. Marking “AR” means that the delivery state is hot-rolled.
This European Standard, a part of the BS EN 10025 series, specifies the technical delivery conditions for flat and long products and semi-finished products which are meant for further processing to flat and long products of hot rolled non-alloy quality steels in the grades and qualities given in chemical composition tables and mechanical properties tables in the delivery conditions. This standard does not apply to structural hollow sections and tubes.
S460N – offers high yield and tensile strength with a minimum yield strength of 460 N/mm². These Steel covers weldable structural steels manufactured with a fine grain structure and supplied in the normalised condition or normalized rolled condition. There are four grades (S275, S355, S420 and S460) which indicate each grade’s minimum yield strength (in MPa) for plates 16 mm thick and below.N indicates temperatures not lower than -20 deg C and NL not lower than -50 deg C.
